Croisement de rue
This open-air exhibition showcases in images the enriching encounters that are at the heart of Société de développement social (SDS)’s activities. Croisement de rue illustrates an aspect of homelessness that is all too often overshadowed by the suffering those who are homeless experience—the individuals’ philosopher, storyteller, exuberant, wise, multifaceted side. In short, it highlights the beautiful and interesting aspect of the clients that psychosocial workers meet every day on the streets of Montréal.
Over the course of her experience as a photographer and a psychosocial worker at SDS since 2016, Céline Côté has paid particular attention to these facets of the people she meets who are experiencing homelessness. Through her portraits and the testimonies she has recorded, she shares their stories with us in a caring way. To hear their stories, scan the QR code found on the image.
