A research workshop, held to compare the origins and processes of creativity in the cities of Barcelona and Montreal, was held on April 7th and 8th at HEC Montréal. A total of over 150 people participated in the seminar.

Pierre Deschênes presented his segment Montréal: Le lieu et la culture, with René Barsalo, Research and Strategic Director for the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) and Lluis Bonet, professor of applied economics at the Universitat de Barcelona (UB).

Following this presentation, representatives of the City of Barcelona proposed that Pierre Descênes go there to give a conference on the urban vision of the Quartier des spectacles put forward by the Partnership. Will we be seeing red dots on Las Ramblas before long?
