A COMPLEMENTARY DUO

With the help of the producing team of Art et Essai, choreographer Caroline Laurin-Beaucage and film director Chélanie Beaudin-Quintin join their complementary skills and artistic universes to merge dance and media arts.

An artist and teacher in dance for 23 years, Caroline is an active member of the Montreal artistic community. Her repertory includes a dozen different pieces, most of which were presented on international scenes. Her work takes choreographic art on multidisciplinary grounds, integrating new technologies and exploring different performing contexts: from the traditional stage to public spaces and from live performance to video mapping.

Chélanie is a visual artist and filmmaker. Through dance, cinema, and immersive works she explores both individual and collective bodies and investigates spaces of exchange and cohabitation. Over the last few years, she has devoted herself to short films, video art, augmented and virtual reality films. Through dance and film, she seeks to create a new dramaturgy whose narrative form, by moving away from classical codes, seems rather sensory and embodied. Her works have been presented in Quebec as well as in various International contexts.
