Participate in an immersive mycology workshop presented by the Quartier des Spectacles and AU/LAB in collaboration with Big Bloc, an artisanal workshop and Montreal-based urban farm. Through mushroom cultivation and creative cooking, explore the many facets of applied mycology.

Learn how a mushroom grows and leave with your own. During this workshop, you'll prepare your own cultivation kit while Virginie Boivin-Jodoin explains the basics of home cultivation: what to do, what not to do, and why things sometimes go wrong.

The workshop concludes with a tasting of cooked oyster mushrooms, accompanied by culinary advice.

Ingredients and materials are prepared in advance to foster a participatory, accessible experience that encourages dialogue around this fascinating world.

Facilitator: Virginie Boivin-Jodoin

The activity is free, but spots are limited to 20 participants. Registration is required.
