Performance venues
Rue Sainte-Catherine, entre la rue De Bleury et le boulevard Saint-Laurent, lors du Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, 2022
The Quartier des Spectacles owes its name to the 30 venues that make it up, offering a wide range of artistic programming. Over time and depending on your interests, options run the gamut from children’s plays at the Maison Théâtre, to punk shows at the Foufounes électriques, to classical concerts at the Maison Symphonique—all in the same epicenter where you’ll find cultural offerings for all tastes and ages.
Do you like big stages? The line-ups at MTELUS, Club Soda, Théâtre du Nouveau Monde and the five venues of Place des Arts (including Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier and Théâtre Maisonneuve) are packed with familiar names and upcoming talents, whether in music, comedy or theater. If you’re into contemporary choreography, head to the Édifice WILDER - Espace danse; but if dancing into the wee hours is more your thing, check out the Society for Arts and Technology [SAT]!
