On the Esplanade Tranquille, the new open-air roller disco, free and open daily, both day and night, lets roller skating enthusiasts enjoy an outdoor track, where disco balls and vibrant lighting create a festive atmosphere. It’s the perfect way to extend summer right in the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles! In the evenings, a unique video projection lights up the rink, adding a touch of digital art to the retro vibe. Dance nights with the Patins Platines series, free introductory sessions, and other festive events also punctuate the roller skating season.
A free cultural program on wheels
At Tranquille à roulettes, the atmosphere is always lively and festive! Every Friday night, the now-famous Patins Platines series transforms the rink into a true open-air dance floor, set to the beats of local DJs—from disco to funk to soul—amidst a backdrop of disco balls and vibrant lighting. And if you’d like to learn to skate, the Montreal-based shop Lowlife offers several free introductory sessions each week, led by two instructors, for beginners and more experienced skaters alike. It’s the perfect place to enjoy some quality time with family or friends—on wheels!
