Chiefly devoted to French-language music, Salle Claude-Léveillée (formerly called the Studio-Théâtre) is Place des Arts’ most intimate performance hall. It’s named after Claude Léveillée, the first Québecois singer to perform at Place des Arts.

The venue is where the SACEF (Société pour l’avancement de la chanson d’expression française) presents its series Les Weekends de la chanson Québecor and the annual Ma Première Place des Arts competition, which promotes the next generation of songwriters, composers and performers.

You can also enjoy classical music shows, such as those by Les Mélodines, as well as cabarets and stand-up comedy shows, particularly during the Just for Laughs Festival.
