What are the opening hours of Esplanade Tranquille?

Esplanade Tranquille pavilion

  • Sunday to Thursday: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Friday to Saturday: 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

  • Sunday to Wednesday: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

  • Thursday to Saturday: 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
    Schedule is subject to change depending on weather conditions and/or event programming.

What is there to do at Esplanade Tranquille?

There is a comfortable terrasse in summer, a refrigerated skating rink in winter, and a multipurpose pavilion that include, common areas for taking a break, Galaxie Brasserie restaurant, a game rental counter and a self-serve library. Esplanade Tranquille also has an all-seasons festive side, with intimate performances presented by the many festivals and events based in the Quartier.

ACCESS AND BOOKING

DO I NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION OR PURCHASE TICKETS TO ACCESS THE ESPLANADE TRANQUILLE?

The Esplanade Tranquille pavilion is a public space, open to all at no charge.

Except during certain scheduled festivals and events, it is not necessary to make reservations or purchase tickets to access the site.

IS THE SITE CLOSED WHEN IT RAINS?

The Esplanade Tranquille pavilion remains open when it rains. During heavy precipitation, some outdoor activities may be cancelled. When in doubt, check our social media!

IS THE SITE ACCESSIBLE TO PEOPLE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY?

Yes, the outdoor site and the pavilion are accessible to those with reduced mobility.

To use the STM’s paratransit service, visit https://www.stm.info/en/para

It is recommended that you disembark at the corner of Sainte-Catherine and Saint-Urbain, or in the drop-off zone at 66 De Montigny. Esplanade Tranquille’s street address (1442 Clark) is inside a pedestrianized zone (universally accessible).

Are there toilets available?

Yes, unisex bathrooms can be found inside the pavilion.

Is there a dedicated space for nursing or changing my baby?

Yes, there is a private nursing room with changing tables upstairs inside the pavilion.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND DRINK TO THE SITE?

Yes, you are allowed to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages to the Esplanade Tranquille site.

ARE THERE RESTAURANTS NEARBY?

Galaxie Brasserie, on the ground floor of the pavilion, serves a European-style menu.

Personal belongings:

I lost something during my last visit. Where can I pick it up?

If you have lost a personal item at Esplanade Tranquille, please send an email to info@esplanadetranquille.com with a detailed description of the item. We will check whether it has been found. If you are at the site, please go directly to the reception desk

Can I bring my pet?

Pets are allowed on outdoor parts of the site.*

*Subject to change for specific events.

Can i use alcohol or cannabis on site?

It is strictly forbidden to bring or consume alcohol outside of designated areas. The use of cannabis is prohibited on the site of the Esplanade Tranquille.

GETTING THERE

How do i get to the Quartier des Spectacles?

METRO

The green and orange lines stop at the Quartier des spectacles. There are three metro stations:
Berri-UQAM Metro (orange and green lines)
Saint-Laurent Metro (green line)
Place-des-Arts Metro (green line)

BUS

The Quartier can also be reached by 10 bus lines.

Where can i park?

You can park your car in the streets surrounding the Quartier des Spectacles, according to the regulations in effect, or in the indoor and outdoor paid parking lots.
