DO I NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION OR PURCHASE TICKETS TO SKATE ON THE ESPLANADE TRANQUILLE RINK?
The Esplanade Tranquille rink and pavilion are public spaces, open to all at no charge.
Except during certain scheduled festivals and events, it is not necessary to make reservations or purchase tickets to access the site.
HOW LONG WILL I BE ABLE TO ENJOY THE SKATING RINK?
The closing date of the Esplanade Tranquille skating rink will be determined during the month of March, based on weather conditions.
IS THE SITE CLOSED WHEN IT RAINS?
The Esplanade Tranquille pavilion remains open when it rains. The rink will be closed during heavy precipitation and some outdoor activities may be cancelled. When in doubt, check our social media!
IS THE SITE ACCESSIBLE TO PEOPLE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY?
Yes, the outdoor site and the pavilion are accessible to those with reduced mobility.
It is now possible to borrow special equipment that makes it possible for everyone to enjoy the rink! The devices are free, but a reservation is required:
- 2 walkers
- 1 tubular sled chair*
- 1 lugiglace (for wheelchair users)*.
*The sled chair and lugiglace require a second person to help with steering.

It is recommended that you disembark at the corner of Sainte-Catherine and Saint-Urbain, or in the drop-off zone at 66 De Montigny. Esplanade Tranquille’s street address (1442 Clark) is inside a pedestrianized zone (universally accessible).
