NOTICE TO RESIDENTS AND WORKERS IN QUARTIER DES SPECTACLES: LUMINOTHÉRAPIE, 12th EDITION

From December 2, 2021 to February 27, 2022

For its 12th edition, Luminothérapie is giving the Quartier des Spectacles a festive touch! Comprising luminous and interactive works, this colourful series of installations will be open from December 2, 2021 to February 27, 2022. New installations and an original video projection will appear alongside some old favourites, and a moment of sound and light will bring everyone together in a grand celebration of Montreal in winter – ebullient, rhythmic and warm. Come bask in glorious light!

SETUP AND TEARDOWN

Setup will take place November 15 to December 1st, on weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Teardown will take place February 28 to March 10, on weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

sound and lighting checks

In order to present high-quality shows, the Quartier des Spectacles team will perform sound and lighting checks at various times during the period indicated:

Lighting programming session

  • November 22 and 23, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

  • November 24, 2021 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

  • November 29 and 30, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Sound checks

  • November 22, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

  • November 30, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Video Projection (VP) Test

  • November 25, 2021 from 9 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Sound, lighting, VP testing

  • November 29, 2021 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

General rehearsal

  • December 01, 2021 from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Promotional shooting with lighting and VP

  • December 1 from 10 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

OUTDOOR SITE SCHEDULE

Activities will be held from:

Monday through Sunday 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The sound and light show will take place every day at 7 p.m. (5 minutes duration).

Site schedule during the holiday season:

December 24, 2021: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
December 25, 2021: 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
December 31, 2021: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
January 1, 2022: 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

STREET CLOSINGS

  • Sainte-Catherine Street will be pedestrian, between De Bleury and Saint Laurent until February 27, 2022.

SITE USAGE RULES

To ensure a safe environment for all and to respect obligations related to public gatherings, certain rules must be followed on the outdoor site during event hours.
