Notice to residents and workers in Quartier des Spectacles: MODE & DESIGN

From August 20 to 25, 2018

The Fashion & Design Festival celebrates creativity and diversity in downtown Montreal. This unique event offers free programming surrounding urban art, fashion, design and music, as well as conferences with international personalities. Every year, many emerging artists, Canadian designers, retailers and international icons share their art and vision with the general public.

STREET CLOSINGS

In order to proceed with the development/layout of the site, the smoot running of operations, and provide festival-goers with a festive and safe experience, automobile/vehicular traffic will have to be interrupted on certain streets from August 17 to August 28.

Sainte-Catherine Street between de Bleury and Saint-Urbain
Balmoral Street between Sainte-Catherine and De Maisonneuve
Jeanne-Mance Street between Sainte-Catherine and De Maisonneuve

SETUP AND TEARDOWN

Setup will take place from August 17 to August 21 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Teardown will take place from August 26 to August 28 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

SOUND CHECKS

In order to present high-quality shows, the team will perform sound checks:

From August 20 to 25 between noon and 2 p.m.
On August 23 at 11 p.m.

OUTDOOR SITE SCHEDULE

Activities will be held between August 22 to August 25 from noon to midnight.

INFORMATION AND COMMENTS

The event organizers care about the quality of life of local residents and businesspeople, and will strive to minimize any and all potential negative impacts of holding the event in the Quartier.
