In order to make our community healthier, Le Grand défi Pierre Lavoie is proud to be hosting a get together  event: La Grande marche du Grand défi Pierre Lavoie prescribed by the family doctors, in partnership with Fédération des Médecins Omnipraticiens du Québec (FMOQ). The focus of the event is to bring generations together. In addition, the doctors are prescribing Energy Cubes to their patients all over Quebec to make them exercise and quit their sedentary living. They are bond to reach a simple objective: achieve  a 5km walk through Montreal downtown, which is quite an amazing landscape for the eye and the heart of the beholders.  A free event like no other to bring a community together and make them change their life forever.

STREET CLOSINGS

In order to prepare the site and provide a safe, enjoyable experience for visitors, it will be necessary to prevent vehicles from using certain streets on certain dates :

Saturday, October 19 to Sunday, October 20 from noon to 4 p.m. :

• Jeanne-Mance Street between Boulevard De Maisonneuve and Ste-Catherine Street ;
• Ste-Catherine Street between Bleury Street and Jeanne-Mance Street
• Balmoral Street between Ste-Catherine and Boulevard De Maisonneuve
• Mayor Street between Bleury Street and Balmoral Street

SETUP AND TEARDOWN

• Setup will take place October 19 until 20 from noon to 9 a.m.
• Teardown will take place October 20 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m..

SOUND and Lighting CHECKS

In order to present high-quality shows, La Grande marche de Montréa team will perform sound and lighting checks at various times during the period indicated:

• Sunday, October 20 from 8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.

OUTDOOR SITE SCHEDULE

Activities will be held from:

• October 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

9:30 a.m. : Site opening
10:15 a.m. : Musical show
10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. : Street closures
11 a.m. : Walk starts
11:45 a.m.  to 12:45 p.m.: Arrival of participants on the Place des Festivals
1:00 p.m. : Site closure

SITE USAGE RULES

To ensure a safe environment for all and to respect obligations related to public gatherings, certain rules must be followed on the outdoor site during event hours.
