Notice to residents and workers in Quartier des Spectacles: Centraide's March of 1 000 umbrellas

The Quartier des Spectacles in proud to host the Centraide's March of 1000 umberellas. Donors, community agencies and major social and community development partners will follow in the footsteps of thousands of people who are committed to fighting poverty ans social exclusion to launch Centraide's annual fundraising campaign.


In order to proceed with the development/layout of the site, the smoot running of operations, and provide festival-goers with a festive and safe experience, automobile/vehicular traffic will have to be interrupted on certain streets on October 4.

  • Sainte-Catherine Street (between Peel and Jeanne-Mance) will be closed from 12 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.
  • Jeanne-Mance Street will be closed from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.


Setup will take place:

  • On October 3 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Teardown will take place:

  • On October 4 from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.


In order to present high-quality shows, the team will perform sound checks:

  • On October 3 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • On October 4 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.


Activities will be held on October 4 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

To ensure a safe environment for all and to respect obligations related to public gatherings, certain rules must be followed on the outdoor site during event hours.
