The Funkxie Groove ensemble blends funk and Dixie jazz (and sometimes rock) with genuine skill. Led by trumpeter and professor Jocelyn Couture, the Montreal septet assembles an arsenal featuring five reedmen, a guitarist and a drummer. We adore their brassy version of Helter Skelter by the Beatles.
