Made after the release of the Rolling Stones album Exile on Main Street, whose cover Frank helped design. The band kept Cocksucker Blues out of circulation for decades: until recently, it could only be shown with the director present, a few times a year. The ostensible reason for the near-ban was the film’s orgy scenes (including one on a plane) and depiction of backstage drug use.
