Boubé, playing his brand of the central Saharan rhythms of nomadic Berber people, literally beguiled the audience at the latest edition of Syli d’or de la musique du monde, where he took second place. The singer-songwriter and composer, whose music includes acoustic and electric guitar and a range of drums, has collaborated with both Bombino and Mdou Moctar, the most respected figures of Tuareg music. In 2023, he released "Issaktan," a blend of meditative melodies and rock.
