NUMIDZ

Numidz takes its inspiration from the legendary Abranis band, underground kings of Kabyle rock that symbolized cultural openness and, more than any other, bridged the gap between Europe and Algeria in the 70s. Numidz started out in Algeria under the name of FreeHead. Now based in Montréal, the Syli d’or 2024 semi-finalist integrate their Berber traditions and Kabyle poetry into a universe of metal and rock with hard-hitting riffs and honed guitars.
