Ukraine has a turbulent history. How is this captured in its literature? Three writers tell the story of their Ukraine. The Canadian novelist David Bergen (Away From the Dead), the Ukrainian poet and novelist Yuri Andrukhovych (My Europe, Lexique de mes villes intimes, Radio Night), the Canadian-Ukrainian translator, Rostyslav Nyemtsev (cotranslator into French of the diary of Volodymyr Vakulenko, Premiers jours d’occupation. Derniers jours de Volodymyr Vakulenko).
