PLANT DYEING WORKSHOP WITH ANNIE-FRANCE LECLERC

During this workshop, participants will be guided through the basics of plant dyeing step by step, in a fun and creative manner. Some fundamental concepts will be briefly covered: preparing textiles, mordants and tannins, setting up a dye bath, shading, and a few folding techniques. We will create a dye on a square of fabric using kitchen scraps, such as avocado peels and pits. The workshop will offer the opportunity to explore, at one’s discretion, some of the creative techniques introduced. Each participant will leave with their own creation.
