CELEBRATING LE CHAÎNON: NINETY YEARS OF DEVOTION TO WOMEN

From September 2023 to January 2024.

The Montréal shelter Le Chaînon has been provind unconditional, judgment-free assistance to women in vulnerable situations since 1932. This exhibition, created by the MEM in partnership with Le Chaînon and Le Chaînon Foundation, closes a year of celebrations marking the ninety anniversaries of this invaluable organization.

Since its founding during the Great Depression, Le Chaînon has adapted its services to the individual needs of the women who come through its doors. The exhibition bears witness to the enduring value of this innovative approach and the family atmosphere that distinguishes the organization. It also pays tribute to the many people who have made Le Chaînon the essential resource it is today.
