HUEI (SAX SOLO)

Huei is a Montreal-based musician with roots in New York City. As a saxophone player, Huei produces original solo music that treats the saxophone as a chordal as well as melodic instrument- blending its sonorities with those of his voice to create rich musical textures. Using the saxophone with an all-acoustic approach that forgoes any form of electronic manipulation, Huei tries to bring an ethos of simplicity to his music. He is also a core member of the Montreal band Archery Guild, and has played extensively as both a solo act and band member since his arrival on the scene in 2011.
