BOOK EVENTS UNDER PRESSURE

Information on the activity

Dates to come

Literary festivals, book fairs, international travel, meetings with authors in bookshops: more than ever, the places where to promote literature must deal with a changing reality. Between the reluctance of some to travel for ecological reasons, the public’s use of in-person and digital formats, security issues, and even the vagaries of the political situation in some countries, book festivals must reinvent themselves. But how? Meet with Claudia Neira Bermúdez, director of the travelling festival Centroamérica Cuenta, Alexandra Büchler, director of Llenyddiaeth Ar Draws Ffiniau / Literature Across Frontiers (Wales), Cristina Fuentes LaRoche, director of the Hay Festival (Wales/Latin America), Clarisse Rosaz Shariyf, senior director of Literary Program and Festival Director of PEN AMERICA & PEN World Voices Literary Festival (United States).

Participants: Claudia Neira Bermúdez, Alexandra Büchler, Cristina Fuentes LaRoche, Clarisse Rosaz Shariyf
