RETROSPECTIVE EXHIBITION

Conceived as part of the research axis "Retrospectively," which contributes to the writing of new chapters in Quebec and Canadian art history, the exhibition "Transparent Foretellings" brings together Diane Landry’s emblematic kinetic installations as well as performance art videos.

“Remember all times are not alike nor do they always run the same way,” Don Quixote used to remind Sancho. In Diane Landry's work, time goes round and round. Paced by the revolutions of her kinetic installations, it potentially repeats itself forever and tells us that on the scale of nature, it is governed by cycles renewing the night and the day, the rhythm of seasons, the lunar and planetary rotations.
