Could Dupieux’s latest be his most hilarious ? Its riotous screening at the last Cannes Film Festival should stand as proof enough. In one corner : the Tobacco Force (Jean-Pascal Zadi, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Anaïs Demoustier and Vincent Lacoste as X-Men-style superheroes) and Chef Didier (Alain Chabat as a drooling rat). In the other, arch-villain Lezardin (Benoît Poelvoorde), destroyer of humanity. And in the middle, Blanche Gardin, Grégoire Ludig, foam-rubber monsters and We, the Audience, pumped and ready for zaniness. Because campfire stories are cinema too. Just you wait and see!
