Enter Chloé, an independent, somewhat doleful teen four years his senior, with her deep gaze and penchant for ghost stories... A liberal adaptation of the graphic novel by Bastien Vivès, Charlotte Le Bon’s extremely assured first feature plays with light and shadow to brilliantly capture the brief moment between childhood and the indefinable something that’s gradually taking shape. A supernatural summer over which young leads Sara Montpetit and Joseph Engel reign supreme.
