Absolues jardin

Absolues jardin transplants the undulating riverbank of the Métis region in the Lower St. Lawrence to the heart of the Quartier Latin. This multisensory installation takes you on an olfactory journey through three distinct zones – river, garden, tributary – whose curves capture the essence of the region’s magnificent landscapes.

From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the structures emit scents carefully crafted to stimulate the imagination, like actual memory capsules. While exploring this ode to slowing down, inspired by a visit to a garden, you will experience the scents by chance, as they are released.

Materials gleaned from the natural areas surrounding Reford Gardens (Jardins de Métis) bond with the hard concrete of the modules like mementos from a trip.
