24 HOURS ON THE BENCH!

St. James United Church's summer series rises from the ashes. MusOrgue. In the heart of Montreal, which aims to promote Canadian composers, establish parity in programming, give a platform to local artists and promote the two magnificent organs of the church.

The grand launch of the series, co-produced with Les Amis de l’orgue de Montréal, is called “24 hours on the bench.” This marathon is inspired by the “24h du Mans” race, hence the date chosen.

The organists follow one another for consecutive concerts, starting every hour between Friday noon June 17, 2022, and Saturday noon June 18, 2022, thus avoiding the city center noise that accompanies the Formula 1 race on the weekend.
