For three days in March 2013, a courtroom was set up at the Moscow Sakharov Center to stage the show trial conceived by Swiss director Milo Rau to denounce the cultural war waged in Russia by Putin’s system, against for instance the activists of Pussy Riot. With real-life citizens, artists, politicians and lawyers holding full-length deliberations until their sentence, The Moscow Trials pleaded for a renewed sentence.
