Every summer, almost 300 children, teens and adults with intellectual deficiencies or handicaps visit a summer camp designed especially for them, near Saint-Alphonse-Rodriguez. To tackle the sometimes-complex challenge of working with the campers, and especially of making sure they feel the “magic of camp Papillon,” the camp has a hundred counsellors from the ages of 16 to 20. Over several visits, Guillaume Sylvestre (Durs à cuire) filmed the campers and their counsellors to create a sensitive and touching group portrait, a fascinating slice of real life.
