Instrument à vent
MAKE NOISE, CREATE HARMONY.
Wind Instrument invites you to listen closely to the sounds around you, and contribute to them. The city is never silent – so let’s play with noise! This interactive installation, with elements of sculpture and generative art, analyses the harmonic frequencies and intensity of ambient sounds to create minimalist compositions. Play the installation like a musical instrument and add your own harmonious sounds to the sonic landscape.
The creator: Étienne Paquette
Étienne Paquette’s immersive installations draw on multiple art forms to transport visitors to fantastical places, where they become part of the story. Through his works, he explores the “sensitive city” and the role of intelligent systems in public space. In 2018, Wind Instrument won a Numix Award for in-situ interactive installations.
