SUMMER IN THE CITY III

Summer has arrived ! It’s in this frame of mind that we prepare Summer in the City III. For this third edition we are happy to present the work of invited young artists Maude Deslauriers and Vincent Larouche. Maude Deslauriers is completing a BFA at Concordia University and Vincent Larouche has recently comlpeted his BFA and presented earlier this year a solo exhibition at soon.tw in Montreal.

You will perhaps be more familiar with the works of the other artists in the exhibition, Lesley Anderson who will be opening our fall 2019 season in September with her second solo exhibition with the gallery. Jean-Philippe Harvey who also has a planned solo exhibition with the gallery presents a group of small watercolours juxtaposed to a water-colour by Harold Klunder from 2000. Justin Stephens also presents a selection of small acrylics on paper.
Also included in the exhibition is a recent sculpture by Gilles Mihalcean Essieu (Axle), that we presented at PAPIER 19 and a 2015 embroidery by Anna Torma. A selection of small pastels, watercolours and oil on papers by Stephen Lack that complete this year’s edition.
