Yung_alexander is an emerging fashion label that is designed and produced in Toronto by Alexander Kershaw.
Their experimental attitude toward forms and garments is driven by a pre-occupation with space and performativity.
Explorations of the conventions of gender and identity as they are reflected in the languages of fashion and popular culture fuel a desire to reconstruct traditional patterns. Facilitating playful new forms and garments whose puzzles give authority to the body – disengaging from the binaries of gender as we know it.
yung_alexander offers wearable play and hopes to provide a sense of flexibility and poise amidst the spectacle and movement of present society.
