It’s a fable of sorts, but it’s also a social document; a farcical stunt, captured with a tragically lucid eye. An all too real fabric, shot through with disconcerting, moving flights of fancy. This is the encounter between Frank (Michel Côté), a homesick albino with a strange gift, and Bert (Guy L’Écuyer), an arthritic former bowling champion who spends his days wearing a sandwich board. Concentrated poetry, humanity, love and friendship, with a dizzying dash of crazy, in an old car parked outside Moon Shine Bowling. It’s 100% pure André Forcier, and that’s why it’s great.
