LE BAL DES ENFANTS DE L'OSM

Information on the activity

Dates to come

The Bal des enfants is a celebration intended for children five and over accompanied by their family. A concert conducted by Kent Nagano will be preceded by a snack and entertainment in the lobbies of Maison symphonique. This year, the evening is under the theme of The Red Riding Hood and the artist Patrice Bélanger will act as spokesperson.

Little Red Riding Hood

Our Little Red Riding Hood is a young, courageous and energetic young girl … though a bit stubborn and rebellious. Against her mother’s instructions, she chooses the shortest but most dangerous path to her ailing grandmother’s house: through the forest!

Along the way, she meets many small and very friendly creatures, but also a great, big and crafty wolf with an enticing voice. This theatrical tale for the whole family is brought to life with shimmering, wondrous music performed by the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, conducted by Maestro Nagano. Audiences are sure to be captivated, and comforted, as they would be on a family Sunday … complete with cake and lovely fresh butter!

Presented in French.

Kent Nagano, conductor
Charles Dauphinais, stage director
Alexandra Sicard, Red Riding Hood
Louise Turcot, Grandmother

This concert, designed especially for a young audience, features great works from the orchestral repertoire performed by the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal under the direction of Kent Nagano.
