THE IMMORTALS | GREAT NORTH AFRICAN CLASSICS REVISITED

After the resounding success of the tribute to Salim Halali at the 16th Festival du monde arabe, Henry Abittan and his big band return to the Festival this year for a major show in tribute to the immortals, timeless artists who marked the golden era of a diverse Algerian and North African heritage.

In the course of an evening, Lili Boniche, Reinette l'Oranaise, Fadila Dziriya, Cheikh El Hasnaoui, Samy El Maghribi, Lili labassi, Line Monty, Rene Perez, Cheikh el Afrit, Henry Abittan et son ensemble and many other emblematic figures from that era will return to life through their great classics, reviving memories of a time when Judeo-Arab, Berber and Arab-Muslim music symbolized living together and represented a rich common musical heritage.
