Stravinsky, L’histoire du soldat (The Soldier’s Tale) (approx. 1 h)

L’histoire du soldat (The Soldier’s Tale), first performed in 1918, relates the adventures of a sodier who sells his soul to the devil in exchange for a book that can predict the future.
The work’s unusual instrumentation, inspired by circus and jazz music, combined with narration by actor Patrice Robitaille and choreography by dancer Étienne Gagnon-Delorme, make this concert a memorable event. A unique work of diabolical charm!

Concert presented in collaboration with the École supérieure de ballet du Québec.
