The Radio-Canada Revelation of 2015-2016 in jazz, pianist Guillaume Martineau has one foot in jazz and the other in classical music. Preceded by a solid reputation as an improviser and musical explorer, with an armful of awards to his credit, he unfurls a jazz with classical lines, brilliantly executed, ethereal and refined, tinged with rock influences and a remarkably cinematic ambience.
