A true master of electronic music, the Canadian DJ / producer Poirier has a prolific career where creativity and eclecticism are at the rendezvous. A major constant crosses his albums and performances, that of building bridges between different communities, languages and cultures, composing a music made of encounters that uninhibitedly mixes styles and eras. Based in Montreal, he played in more than 30 countries all over the world (Uganda, South Africa, Haiti, Cuba, Senegal, Cape Verde, China, Mexico, England, Switzerland, France / Reunion / Mayotte, Russia, Belgium, Australia) and participated in major festivals such as BoomTown Festival, Dour Festival, Igloofest, Big Day Out, Montreux Jazz Festival, Garorock, Sonar Festival, Nyege Nyege Festival, Piknic Electronik, Cervantino Festival, Mutek and many more.

He is very active in Montreal as his monthly dance show Qualité Deluxe dedicated to African and West Indian music testifies. Poirier is also the instigator of the famous Bounce le Gros and Karnival parties, which have marked the Montreal nightlife. He has released ten albums and numerous EPs with labels such as Wonderwheel Recordings and Ninja Tune, as well as directing a remix album of Quebec legend Robert Charlebois. Winner at the ADISQ of the director of the year with the singer Boogat in 2013, Poirier released in 2016 the album “Migration ” which is a mix of reggae, electronic music, dancehall and dub. In 2017, he followed by launching an EP inspired by Afro house music: ” Be Alright. “On this EP we find a collaboration with the Mozambican-Canadian singer Samito on the flagship song “Sowia”. The year 2019 will see the release of several new songs inspired by his stays abroad and his memorable Montreal nights.
