- Excerpt from exhibition text by Chloé Beaulac
Poli Wilhelm is a multidisciplinary artist who has worked for over 25 years creating and teaching visual arts. Born in Argentina, she was trained in arts in her native country before pursuing a visual arts degree at UQAM in Montréal, where she has been living since 2004.
Her practice mixes painting, serigraphy, and print through chromatic explorations that subvert archival images. By immersing herself in long, repetitive and meticulous tasks, she feeds her passion for actions that reveal expansive dimensions of time.
Opening reception : Thursday November 5, starting at 5:30 p.m.
