Marie-Claude Robillard has been exploring the plurality of silences for over fifteen years now. As an encaustic painter, her latest exhibition in Arprim is the first composed exclusively of encaustic monotypes. Born in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, she now lives and works in Montréal where she completed her visual arts and fine arts training at UQAM. Since 2011, her work has been showcased in various exhibition centres, cultural centres and galleries like the Maison de la culture Marcel-Robidas (Longueuil) and the Centre national d’exposition (Jonquière). Her work was also presented at the Musée d’art contemporain des Laurentides as well as the Montreal Contemporary Art Fair, and is now part of several private, corporate, and public collections.
