Soprano Sarah Dufresne brings this legendary figure to life by combining arias from two famous adaptations, by Auber and Massenet, to map out her psychological journey. Alongside Manon, Keri-Lynn Wilson leads the OM in orchestral works by Clémence de Grandval, a pioneering female composer who carved a place for herself in a predominantly male world. Tchaikovsky and Wagner’s symphonic masterpieces then carry us through the tragic passions of Francesca da Rimini, heroine of The Divine Comedy, and Isolde, Tristan’s mythical lover.
