The portraits appear on six storefront windows, the live images of participants perfectly overlapping with the faces of previous visitors, creating composite portraits that are constantly fluctuating between one person and another, past and present. Facial recognition technology is often used to identify individuals, but here Lozano-Hemmer uses it to opposite ends, concealing private identity in a collective portrait.
