Dominating the eastern part of the Quartier des Spectacles, the Grande Bibliothèque is an iconic architectural landmark in the neighbourhood. A central hub of knowledge for Montrealers, it is famous for its singular, angled façade, adorned with 6,200 sheets of glass with glacier-green reflections. Its surface is both unusual and harmonious, ideal for video projections where images and movements blend perfectly with the glazed shell after dark. The digital works presented here occasionally engage with literary and other themes, echoing the site’s mission.
