Activity report, 2024-2025: a culturally vibrant year in all seasons

The year 2024 marked the midway point of our Strategic Plan for 2022-2026. The ambitious plan aims to turn our Quartier des Spectacles into a model and reference for animating public spaces and for urban, social and economic development. Our actions and activities over the last year fall into four areas of development: cultural vitality, land use planning, incubating new connections, and building local and international prestige. From one springtime to the next, our work demonstrates that we are making excellent progress toward our goals.

In 2024, the Partnership was driven by optimistic and unifying ambitions that resonated with our partners and the public. In the winter, we celebrated the 15th anniversary of LUMINO and, in the summer, the 10th anniversary of Les Jardins Gamelin. There were revitalization projects in the Quartier Latin and deliberations on the future of the festivals and the ecological transition. Each initiative is a testament to our commitment to building a dynamic, inclusive and sustainable neighbourhood.

Our efforts to welcome and serve a wide variety of different audiences were supported by an enhanced urban design and pedestrianization experience in all seasons, by the Fête du Quartier organized for the district’s residents, and by the creation of a tourism squad. In addition, a new website was launched to highlight the unique attractions and cultural activities found in the heart of the city. As a result, the Quartier is an ever-more-welcoming place for visitors and everyone interested in culture, while also providing an exceptional environment for the people who live and work there every day.
