SOULFEST MTL
Founded in 2024, this festival promises a fully immersive experience in the worlds of soul, R&B, funk, gospel and disco. Organized by the non-profit Maison PRPLSN and presented by the cabaret Le Balcon, the event enlivens the pedestrian stretch of Sainte-Catherine Street West between Saint-Alexandre and Aylmer streets. For the occasion, Square St-James is transformed into an open-air dance floor, with the illuminated St. James United Church as a striking backdrop. Over several days, the festival showcases the diversity of soul, Motown, funk, disco, R&B and gospel in a spirit of intergenerational exchange and shared celebration. A wide range of free activities is offered for all, including enticing food zones.
