MU
MU is a charitable organization co-founded by Elizabeth-Ann Doyle and Emmanuelle Hébert in 2006. It transforms Montreal’s public spaces by creating outdoor murals rooted in its communities. MU also organizes youth mural art workshops in Montreal neighbourhoods and schools to encourage students not to drop out. MU’s murals help improve the quality of life in urban environments by enhancing the living environment and encouraging residents to make it their own. Through its works, MU contributes to the beautification of boroughs and to social equity, democratizing access to art in the metropolis. Finally, its Montreal Cultural Builders collection showcases homegrown cultural heritage by paying tribute to local personalities who have changed the world.
