Founded in 2000 by Alain Simard, Montréal en Lumière presents hundreds of activities each year, from its renowned gastronomic program to its free outdoor site, live performances and the iconic Nuit blanche à Montréal. The festival has helped unify Montreal’s culinary scene, elevate its international profile, and celebrate the city’s northern identity. With a vibrant musical lineup both indoors and outdoors, it brings a unique warmth to downtown, even when temperatures drop well below freezing.
