LA SERRE – arts vivants

Co-founded by Jasmine Catudal and Vincent de Repentigny, LA SERRE – arts vivants was born out of a need to review the structures supporting creation and production in the performing arts. LA SERRE, which was born out of the OFFTA festival, is a structuring artistic event created in 2007 and playing a key role in Montreal’s performing arts ecosystem. Over the past ten years, OFFTA has helped to break down the barriers between artistic disciplines and to promote hundreds of emerging artists locally, nationally and internationally. In 2015, with a view to sustainable development and the desire to serve its community more effectively, OFFTA underwent a name change, broadening its mandate to become LA SERRE. Today, it serves as a structuring incubator for emerging artists, supporting them in developing and implementing their practices. LA SERRE proposes initiatives that promote their development, while providing them with spaces that stimulate their imagination.
