This university gallery dedicated to contemporary art produces and presents exhibitions by Quebec, Canadian and international artists. It explores a variety of concerns related to the work of professional artists, while embracing emerging trends and the work of students in visual and media arts, art history and museology. Located in the heart of the Quartier Latin, surrounded by museums, artist-run centers, libraries, theaters, cinemas and cafés, the Galerie de l’UQAM caters as much to the university and niche public as to the general public strolling through downtown.
