Danse Danse is a non-profit organization founded in 1998 as a presenter at Place des Arts. Its mission is to push the boundaries of artistic experience by celebrating dance in all its forms and expressions. Presenting around fifteen shows per season at Théâtre Maisonneuve, Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier and Cinquième Salle, Danse Danse contributes to Montreal’s international reputation as a metropolis of movement. In addition to its performances, Danse Danse offers a multiple of ways to experience dance: off-site activities, encounters with artists, dance workshops for all ages, school programs and much more. Since 2022, Danse Danse has also been co-producing the JOAT International Street Dance Festival, offering a week of free performances and activities on the Esplanade de la Place des Arts.
