The Bon Pasteur Historical Chapel occupies a special place in Montreal’s musical life. For 35 years, it has offered unfailing support to up-and-coming musicians. A member of the Maisons de la culture network and a model for the democratization of classical music, the Chapel is renowned for its accessibility and free concerts. It presents a varied program that focuses on creativity, excellence and discovery. Badly damaged by the tragic fire that devastated the Bon Pasteur monastery on May 25, 2023, the Bon Pasteur Historical Chapel had to close its doors temporarily. The Chapel team ensured the continuity of its programming off site, keeping alive the spirit of the chapel, now housed within the walls of the Canadian Centre for Architecture.
